You can learn to meditate on one of Relax for Health’s courses in Epsom and Ewell, Surrey, throughout the year. The courses are carefully designed to introduce you to our easy, practical yet powerful meditation, and then to support you in establishing your own ongoing practice. This way you can really start to reap the many benefits of meditation, such as peace of mind, greater self-awareness, a feeling of inner calm, and an overall sense of wellbeing.

Beginners Meditation course

Our five week beginners course gently introduces you to our effortless style of meditation. From the beginning you will be guided through a simple meditation to a place of deep relaxation, and you will be given some detailed guidelines to help you practice at home.

It can take a while for the body and mind to get used to accessing this restful place, everyone is different. For some people it can happen quite quickly and they experience a deep meditation straight away, and for others it can take longer. The main thing to keep in mind is that there is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ approach with our meditation.

Each week, you will have the opportunity to deepen your meditation and report back on how it is working for you. You will receive lots of support and encouragement as you learn to slow down and bring more peace into your daily life.

Continuing Your Meditation Practice course

A regular meditation practice can make an enormous difference to your life, and on this course (open to people who have been on our Beginners course) we help you to consolidate and deepen your personal meditation practice. You will receive a workbook and journal to record your experience of deeper meditation, as well as recommendations for further progress. At this stage we also help you to begin using meditation as a tool for increasing self-awareness and self-acceptance, and for bringing greater balance into your life.

Meditation for Self-Enquiry course

This intensive course is open to anyone who is committed to raising their consciousness through the practice of self-awareness and meditation. This is an experiential & therapeutic small group (maximum of 6 people), offering a safe and supportive place in which to investigate and move through some core issues, and to expand your knowledge and experience of using meditation in all areas of your life, including self-knowledge, enhancing creativity, improving your personal effectiveness and harmonising your relationships.

NEW   Group Facilitator 6 week Introductory Training Course

This is for anyone interested in facilitating groups using meditation as the framework. It will cover managing group energy, taking care of the facilitator, emotional management and the power of language, as well as using meditation in a group setting. This will also provide a lovely opportunity to deepen your own self-awareness as the role of the facilitator is very different to a participant.

The course will be held on Wednesday mornings at St. Michael's Sanctuary, starting the 11th March, and continuing the 18th & 25th of March, April 15th & 22nd , and the 6th May.

One to One meditation instruction

If you can’t make any of our courses, we also offer tailor made one-to-one guidance sessions, offering you a deep meditative experience and specific guidelines suitable for your own needs.   These three sessions offer you an opportunity to be personally guided by Marion or Gillian, and are designed to fast track you into helping you get your personal and self awareness meditation practice firmly established
